Change is in the Air

I am just back from three weeks in France and Italy. Its always hard to adjust back to the USA lifestyle after being in Europe for a few weeks. But I am slowly getting acclimated. I will post a few of my pictures once I cull through them all and get them organized.
There is lots of change coming to our little farm life. Favorite daughter, Sydney is heading off to college in a couple of weeks; which will make us very empty nesters here. I am also not planning to drive my school bus this year, so my schedule will be much free er in coming weeks. I am hoping to be able to visit a few friends, travel some with my husband and do some of the things that the daily afternoon bus interruption prevented. Hopefully I will not just be a lazy slug!! I would like to find a part time job to keep me busy and help me afford the health insurance we will now need to replace, but I am very particular about having flexibility; often not a good match for work.
We have sent one of our horses to Florida to train for the summer and to hopefully sell. So we are down to one horse and one donkey in the fields. Its too hot for the dogs to keep them much company this time of year, so things are quiet. I imagine they will get a bit quieter once Sydney is off to college!
