The Blue Birds are beginning to choose their nest sites for their soon-to-come babies. Last February they were very busy sitting in their houses and shortly thereafter, feeding their newborns. Right now they are scouting out the housing market. As you can see from the photo, this squirrel is making one of the houses a very hard sell. Shortly after he jumped off of the house he paraded around the deck, striking several poses. Looks a bit like a body builder at the gym, non?
In addition to the birds, the horse and donkey have been busy too. The farrier was out this morning to trim their feet. It was quite cold standing in the shade of the barn for the 30+ minutes it took for the completion of their pedicures. Miss Coco was amazingly good. She got out of her pedicure entirely last time, because she was so uncooperative and I was not home. For some reason she and Sydney do not get along very well ( could it be their similar personalities???). Today she was great. Stood for the farrier with nary a complaint. Did not actually kick him a single time.
Just got back from a trip to York, PA. Very chilly there! In the 20s, which isn't terrible, but the wind was! Had to buy a pair of gloves, as I somehow forgot to pack mine. I did remember, however, to take two very stylish hats with me! Did not get up into the Amish country this year, but did go to a very interesting clock/watch museum. It was huge!! In addition to tons and tons of clocks and watches, they had the machinery and tools that have been used over the years in the production process. Of course, that is why we were there, to see the tools! It was, after all a 'tool show' trip with hubby.

Terry, Those are awesome nature photos. You must have a really good camera. Sounds like you had a great trip even though it was a 'tool'time trip...lol Enjoyed the update and photos! Kim
