We have three new additions to our animal menagerie here on the farm. Three Buff Orpington hens. I got them from one of my neighbors several weeks ago and today I found my very first egg! There will be many more to follow in the coming weeks if my last chicken experience holds true. Pretty cute girls, non?
The weather has been so cold on the farm this winter. The poor horses have been blanketed for days on end. I know they are looking forward to warmer days.
We are all, in fact, looking forward to the warmer days of spring. I am hoping my first egg is a sign that spring is just around the corner! I happen to have a cruise booked for the first week of April just to get geared up for the warmer weather!
